The FBM-1 is a DCC current block detection module. Although designed for Free-mo layout, the FBM can be used on any layout where DCC current detection is desired. More information on this module can be found in the Free-mo section or by clicking on the link below.
The FOM-2 uses infrared light to detect rolling stock. This is required for rolling stock that does not draw current
and therefor cannot be detected using a current style detector such as the FBM-1. This unit was originally designed for
Free-mo layouts but can also be used on any style of layout.
